South Country Health Alliance Chief Information Officer John Whitington and Senior Business Analyst Megan Lacanne presented at this year’s Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Annual Conference and Exhibition in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Their presentation “Improving Patient Health Through Real-Time ADT Integration” demonstrated how South Country Health Alliance, in partnership with Medicity, Casenet, and Allina Health, has used innovative technology to improve management of care transitions through the DiamondView Health Information Exchange (HIE) and the Casenet TruCare integrated care management platform.
“Our HIMSS presentation allowed us to showcase the innovation that South Country Health Alliance is bringing forward for our members, providers, and communities,” said Whitington.
Lacanne added, “We were able to talk with other organizations who are doing similar work and share our experiences with them too, which for me affirms that the work we’re doing is not only transforming health care in our communities, but nationwide.”
South Country Health Alliance has also presented its HIE at the Casenet Conference and Case Management Society of America Conference. This was the first time the group has presented at the HIMSS Conference.
