South Country Health Alliance

South Country Health Alliance (South Country) was formed in 2001 to improve the way our members receive health care. We now have more than 30,000 members and offer 7 different programsย to meet the needs of those in our counties. We work closely with health care providers and county public health and social service departments to support wellness. We also offer our members a variety ofย health promotion programs.

South Country Health Alliance is a county-based purchasing health plan governed through a Joint Powers Agreement between 8 counties.* The Joint Powers Board is comprised of 8 elected county commissioners, one from each county owner. The Joint Powers Board provides the organizationโ€™s vision and policy direction.
