South Country Health Alliance (SCHA), a county-based health plan serving 12 counties in Minnesota, has the following openings:

  • GRIEVANCE & APPEALS COORDINATOR: Responsible for the management of assigned caseload involving complaints received at SCHA, which may include grievances, appeals, and other coverage decision requests. This person will perform advanced and complicated case review duties requiring clinical judgment, independent analysis, and detailed knowledge of departmental and regulatory procedures.

    Required: RN with an active license in the state of Minnesota and a broad-based clinical background; a minimum of 3 years health care experience; knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements for appeals and grievances; proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.

    Preferred: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Nursing; health plan experience or experience conducting investigations.

    Hours/Pay Period: Full-time

    Minimum Salary: $28.24/hour (Non-Exempt)

  • DIRECTOR OF HEALTH SERVICES: Responsible for directing and managing the overall operations of the Health Services department with specific responsibility for the company’s case management and utilization management activities. Responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of SCHA’s integrated care management model, ensuring clinical initiatives are effective and efficiently implemented, policies and procedures are developed and maintained to accurately reflect staff performance expectations, and activities comply with state and federal regulation and DHS contractual obligations.

    Required: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, public health or health care administration; 6 years experience in mid-level management or supervision, and 3 years clinical or public health experience.

    Preferred: Licensed RN in the state of Minnesota.

    Hours/Pay Period: Full-time

    Minimum Salary: $98,499/annual (Exempt)

  • CARE MANAGER (TEMPORARY): Responsible for completing health assessments in a timely manner, developing and implementing care plans for enrollees, and assisting enrollees in achieving their health goals. Acts as the care coordinator working with an interdisciplinary care team to manage the care and pharmacotherapy of enrollees.

    Required: Current and valid unrestricted RN license in Minnesota or bachelor’s degree in social work or behavioral science; a minimum of 3 years clinical experience with at least 2 years of that experience working in public health, long-term care, or other settings that cater to vulnerable populations, such as working directly with programs that serve frail members or vulnerable adults.

    Hours/Pay Period: This is a temporary position lasting approximately 6 months.

    Minimum Salary: $26.14/hour (Non-Exempt)
