If you are using Microsoft Word web app to open documents, you may experience some differences in views. Microsoft has an article that explains the differences.
Differences between using a document in the browser and in Word (Microsoft.com)
In the Word Web App, editing view doesn't show page formatting, such as margins or page breaks, cover pages, or headers and footers.
In some cases, we place contact information in the headers or footers of these documents. When information looks to be missing, open the document using the Word desktop app.
Sometimes you can accidentally remove the header and footer by hovering over the top or bottom edge of any page until Word displays the white space arrows. If you double click on the arrows, Word will hide the header (and footer) and white space. You can undo this by going into you program Options. Under Display that can hide the header and footers on documents. Under Page display options, make sure the "Show white space between pages in Print Layout view" is checked.
Viewing a PDF in your browser may depend on the type of PDF-viewer your browser is using. Many non-standard PDF viewers may not open some PDF documents in the browser. You can check the type of viewer you are using in your browser settings.
In the cases where you receive an error message or the PDF does not display, Try to Right Click and choose Save link as to download PDF to your computer. Then, use File Explorer to open and read the PDF document from your computer using Adobe's free Acrobat Reader or Adobe Acrobat *
*DHS eDocs requires you to follow this process.
Try opening the document in a different browser, such as Chrome or Firefox.
